39 Week Appt

Ok so today we went back for our 39 week check up and another non-stress test. Went well again. I am almost 3 cm dilated and 80% efaced so things are definitely headed in the right direction. So we are going ahead with the induction this Thursday! The dr. said since Declan took so long because he was stuck on the pelvic bone that it will be good to go ahead and get him out and since the water has been low. Both are not major issues but it will just be easier for me. So I am good with it anyway. We were planning on this week as long as I was dilating and was efaced so Thursday morning we are to start calling at 5:30am to see if we can head on down. I hope for us to be able to go in very quickly so we can just get things started. Dr. says since I am progressing so well I will not have to take the cervidil, should just be breaking my water and possibly the pitocin so it sounds good to me. Went by the hospital today and pre-registered so that will be one less step for Thursday. As soon as we find out we can go on Thursday I will let everyone know. We plan on keeping people updated via Twitter, Facebook, and text so if there is no info on any of them then there probably is no info. Going to go double check the carseat tomorrow and make sure that it is in fact in correctly just to ease my mind. Declan is excited, I think finally getting a day that he can comprehend as opposed to 3 weeks or so on has him more excited than usual. He is ready I believe. So if anybody has any questions let us know otherwise prayers are greatly appreciated and we will update soon.

38 Weeks Part 2

Ok so I had my second appointment for this week. The non stress test actually went really quick this time he was very active today. The water level is at 11 now instead of 10 she said it might actually not have gone up it just could be the way he was laying last time, but it didn't go down either so everything is still good. So I go back on Tuesday and Dr. Rush said Hulse can induce on Wednesday or he will induce on Thursday so the baby should be here by then. Tuesday I will let everybody know a little more. At this point we don't have times or anything like that. All in all a great appointment. The ultrasound tech told the Dr. that he is breathing on his own and he is very reactive he still measures a little small but since Declan was small and so were Brian and I that they really aren't concerned. So anyway he should weigh about what Declan did which he was 7lbs 1oz. So anyway now just to rest and get anything else done that needs to be done. Will update again after we know anything else.

38 Week Visit Part 1

So I had another non stress test again Tuesday. It went well. I am a full 2 cm and was still 50% efaced. Next appointment is Friday. We should know a little more about when he should make his appearance soon. I will update again on Friday after the appointment. So on another note plans again are as follows:
Declan will be the first visitor before anyone else. You are all more than welcome to stop by and visit, but no kids under the age of 12. We will update as frequent as possible but if nothing has changed we won't have anything to update. So on that note we will text or facebook or both to keep you all posted. We are asking for people not to be calling and texting all day with questions because it only makes the time pass by slower. We have filled out the paperwork for what we want and don't want during the whole experience and I have requested the phone to the room be shut off or we can take it off the hook whatever we have to do. We will let everybody know what room we are in and what visiting hours are as soon as we know. So anyway this again is to hopefully make things run smoothly and let everyone know what we are asking. I will get back on here tomorrow and update after the appointment. Also hope you guys enjoy the tooth fairy picture I stuck on the blog for Declan losing his first tooth today. It was pretty cool! Now I think I am going to go rest for a bit.

Check out the photo I created @ iCaughtTheToothFairy.com

So Declan lost his first tooth today at school. He pulled it himself. This was a cool little thing I found on one of the coupon websites. He was super proud about pulling it out!

37 Week Appt part 2

Today's non-stress test went quicker. It was a good read. Dilated a little more but not quite a 2 yet but 50% efaced so at least things are moving in the right direction. I have my 38 week appt's next week and that is about it for now. Not much else that I can think of just going to be walking quite a bit for now. Tempted to try the eggplant parmesan too.

37 Weeks: Appt 1 of 2

So today's Appt went well. The fluid levels haven't gone up but haven't gone down either so still borderline. He also passed the non-stress test basically counts movements and tracks heartrate so he is good. Next part of the check up will be Friday so we will see what they have to say then. We got the carseat in the car and the bag packed and in the car. It's hard to decide what to bring them home in, it's fun but it was so much easier with Declan since we just brought him home in the outfit that Brian came home in. Declan thinks I should take the outfit out of the shadow box and use it for Wyatt as well but I think I just want to leave it in there. It is a cute idea but it was a pain to put in there. Having more frequent contractions but nothing out of the ordinary most pregnant women have plenty of them. It is funny to see how many people ask about contractions like it means he is coming right then though. So anyway I will update again on Friday after our appointment.

36 Week Appt.

So since the last visit I lost 2 lbs. Got all my testing done it was quick. They decided to do an Ultrasound to check and make sure he is still growing. The growth scan said he looks like he weighs 5lbs and about 6oz. The fluid a little low so they want me to drink lots of water so my body stops pulling the fluid from the uterus. But it wasn't horrible just low. I dilated 1 cm and am efaced a little she said he will probably be out before the due date which will be really nice! Brian just said a few nights ago that he thought I wouldn't make it but another 2 weeks so we will see. Going to be walking and sleeping a lot. I will now be going twice a week, one day will be my regular weekly visit and the other day will be a fetal stress test and fluid check just to keep everything in check. Heart rate is great and he is looking great. She said he should be small like Declan and we got a pic of his face today, he has some cute cheeks. So anyways not too much longer now. With 2 visits a week it probably really will fly by now. Got the clothes washed and bottles and binkies sterilized and the pack-n-play set up and ready for Wyatt. Declan is counting down and so are we. Since there isn't a lot of fluid around him you can actually see him breathing through my stomach the ultrasound tech was showing me today and she said that is also why I feel every move he makes. Needless to say it was an interesting day, now off to a consignment sale tonight to use a gift card I won.:)

34 Weeks

Had my appointment this past week. It went well I gained 3.2 pounds, not bad. They said we could start looking at being induced at 39 weeks if the conditions are right. So that is nice. I won't have to wait forever. So down to 5 weeks and a few days and I am ready. I thought I was kidding when I said I would just stay at home the last 4 weeks or so but I am getting more serious about it every day. It is hot! He appears to be head down at this point which is great and he is still moving quite a bit. Not much else has changed starting to get ready to wash and sterilize bottles, and binkies, and wash the new clothes from the consignment sales. Not much longer and we will need to have the seat in the car and have our bags packed. Trying to get plans made for Declan and started thinking today about letting someone come in the room right after he is born to get some pics especially of Brian and Wyatt, the ones of Declan and Brian within those first few moments are priceless. I still think that it will only hit me when I have him that there truly is a second one coming home with us, I think it still seems a little surreal, maybe it is just prego brain which unfortunately seems only to be getting worse. I feel for Brian and Declan! Well next visit is in 2 weeks and that will be the last of my blood work and they do the group b strep test again just routine stuff. Then all the visits from that one will be weekly. The hospital we plan on delivering at is still Northside Hospital Canton. So I will try and keep everybody updated.

32 Week APPT.

So 32 weeks! As Heather said so close yet so far away. It really isn't too bad but this heat is horrible! It will be nice to be off the nausea meds too! Well at least they do there job :). So anyway they said I haved gained a total net weight of a pound but thats not bad I have gained back the other 10 I lost so they are still ok with that. Like I told the doctor the way I see it, it is just less I will have to lose and I am ok with that! He is still measuring correctly and everything is still great so that is pretty much it. We went to the outlet mall today after the appointment got Declan's back to school shoes and I think I finally found Wyatt an outfit to come home in from Childrens Place for 1.99 and a cap to wear home for .99 and a sweater for winter for 2.99 they are so stinking cute. Now we are just waiting and counting down the days/weeks. We have Declan's meet and greet with his 1st grade teacher Friday and then he will head to school on Tuesday, hard to believe it is already that time again but I think that will definitely help pass the next 8 weeks. Say a little prayer for him please he is nervous about going to 1st grade but I think it is just not knowing what to expect as this is the first time going back after a summer vacation I think he will do well after his first day back and I am sure I will be a teary mess thank goodness Brian is off that day maybe he can keep me from crying all day :)Well I think that is it for now, think I will see if I can get Brian to post some of the ultrasound video on here tonight.

30 Week appt.

Appt. went great. It was just a quick check. Think I had gained a pound not too bad. Next appt is in 2 weeks. Got a refill for my zofran but that was pretty much it. BP is great and he isn't concerned about anything so we will be doing our every two week visits now for a bit. Count down has begun. Not to much longer now. It's funny though some days I don't think it has quite hit me that we are having another baby. It is kind of odd. I will be cleaning the house or something then he will move and it is a reminder that there really is a person in there. Sounds odd I know. Martha got Declan and the baby shirts, Declan's says "Big Brother" and Wyatt's says "Little Brother". Declan is already trying to wear his. It is cute! I can't wait to get their pictures in them. It is long sleeved and he tried to wear it out the other day in the 90+ degree weather, but it really is sweet! Got pretty much everything we need thanks to everyones generosity. Everyone has been great! We only lack a pack and play and a high chair at this point. Going to get a few more onsies and what not but really the big stuff has been taken care of. I will be looking for the stuff we still need at the consignment sales, I can't stand the wait for them to begin. It is like counting down to Christmas for me, I love a bargain! His room is pretty well done at this point, Ihave pictures up on Facebook but they are kind of a pain to put on here so I am working on it a little at a time. I still need to get the video on here too but I am not so great with anything electronic so we will have to wait on Brian for that one. Well next appt is at 32 weeks so I will update then. Thanks again all of you for your gifts and prayers!

28 WEEK APPT.

So today we had the glucose test and the Rhogam shot along with the normal 28 week stuff. Seemed that the test came back perfectly fine, the shot wasn't as bad as I always think it is. Apparently Wyatt got the sugar about the time I started getting my blood drawn he started kicking like crazy and didn't stop till after the visit. He always moves quite a bit when they put the doppler on to check for his heartbeat, he makes them work for it and today after all that sugar was no different. I tried to figure it up the other day and the bottle of orange "sugar" they give you is 10oz and you have to drink it in 5 minutes. So if my math is correct it has 5 times the amount of a 2 liter coke, scary thought huh? So anyway the baby shower is in just over a week, I am excited. Oh also our church threw us a surprise shower it was very thoughtful, there were about 10 of them it was very nice. The doctors visits will start being every 2 weeks now till about 35 or 36 weeks then we will go to weekly visits till he is born. Next week we go for the 30 minute ultrasound to play at the shower, then my next appt will be the following Wednesday. Oh I thought this was interesting, I was reading a baby website the other day and they were saying that Braxton Hicks contractions don't hurt...Uh really? They do! Anybody who has had the pleasure of having them knows they hurt. Oh I gained 3.2 lbs this past month so that makes a total of like 5.7 lbs now not bad for being 7 months but I am craving chocolate like crazy so hopefully I keep it in check. Declan is still super excited he can't wait he loves looking at the baby stuff as it come in the house, it is adorable! The other night Wyatt was kicking like crazy and Declan said he thinks Wyatt is trying to kick my belly button out so he can come out, good reasoning I think. It was pretty funny. Today I was making another trip to the restroom and Declan said "mom you have to go all the time because the baby likes to kick the thing that holds it" again funny and very accurate actually! Well I think that is about it right now. So now I am going to try and figure out a few more features that these blogs have.

24 Week Appt.

Appointment went great, it was a quick one really. They just measured my belly and done weight and little things like that, so not much. I go back in 4 weeks for my rhogam shot and for the glucose test. No big deals either one just general stuff. So we finally decided we definitely are going to use the Enchanted Hollow Bed Set, we like the colors and the woodland critters. It is cute!

Started working on "the plan" I guess you can call it. Just what we do and don't want during/after delivery that sort of stuff. Such as: We are just going to have us in the room this time, If anybody calls while I am in labor this time you risk your own life :) had too many for my taste last time so hospital phone will go off the hook. Nothing like pushing and people calling. People can see the baby but I think we really want Declan to be the first one after us of course to hold him. I think the hospital doesn't allow kids under the age of 12 besides siblings in the rooms so we are going to stick with that even if it has changed just germs and the rooms are fairly small so it will help a little. So far that is it in a nut shell well I guess the things that affect everybody not just us anyway.

Oh I finally gained some weight the doctor was pleased but the baby has been gaining and growing even as I have lost so they haven't been greatly concerned. I gained 2.5 pounds, not too bad in a months time I guess. The shower is in about 6 weeks so I am excited. On top of that Laurie, Tina and Jessie MIGHT make it down in time for the shower. We shall see. It would be cool. Also the 30 minute video that we can do of the baby is in like 5 weeks so that will be neat.

So I guess that is pretty much it for now. Oh, while we were at the Booth Museum "Cowboy Museum" Thursday Declan heard the name Wyatt and said, "That's our baby's name" so I said, "yeah it is." His reply was, "that's a good name." He is a nut but glad he likes it I guess!

Bedding Set Options

Well the links aren't working on the blog posts but you can can google these:
The 1st one is Cocalo Turtle Bay Bedding
The 2nd is Enchanted Hollow Bedding
The 3rd is Organic Willow Bedding
The 4th is Farm House by Kidsline
Sorry I thought there would be an easier way but I can't link up the sites or pictures yet. So if you have the time to look at them that would be great, and leave a comment on which one you like better.

20 week appt.

So I am posting a week or so late but we've been busy. So the appt. went great. He is still very much a boy! He is growing like crazy and kicking like crazy too. The prayers of course worked the placenta is not lying over the cervix anymore so that is Awesome news! We have started registering at tons of places so there are a variety of places to choose from. I have registered at the usual stores: Wal-Mart, Target, and Babies R Us, and then I did amazon as well just because there are some cool things on there you can't find in the stores. Shower plans are being headed up by Angie, Heather, and Stacey which I am very grateful for. It will be a collaborative work between them and I think it will be awesome! Declan is asking at least once a week how much longer it will be till the baby is born. He is stoked. He said the other day "Guess what I am having a baby brother and I can't wait" - priceless! The ultrasound we had at this appt. she took a picture of his little baby booty and it is cute. They told me I could come back in about 10 weeks, So around 30 weeks and for a $20 donation to the Relay for Life they will do a 30 minute video of the baby 2D, 3D, and 4D and the heartbeat and all. It is a great price and Declan will probably really enjoy that as well as everyone else. If we can get it uploaded on here at least part of it that would be cool so even "Uncle" Laurie and Tina can see. Well I think thats all for now. I may post a poll on here for which bed sets to pick. I had it definitely picked out but now I am stuck between 4 so if I do you HAVE to vote. Deal? Thanks for all the prayers!

IT'S A BOY!

So we had our sequential check up for the testing it went great. They did the anatomy scan and yep it's a boy! Everything looked good my placenta is low lying so we will be praying it moves but they said for now it is fine they will just keep an eye on it. It isn't uncommon at this point they usually move up anyway. So no problem. I am already working in the room today moving stuff in and out. Declan was excited when I told him today his response was "Yes!! No girls coming into the house" funny no doubt. They say he is right on target for size, they think he is about 7 ounces now. So we are all super excited. The name is going to be Wyatt Grayson, as long as Brian is 100% about the the middle name. And so far the colors are green and brown for the nursery.

16 week appt.

Forgot to update everybody. 16 week appt went great. Lost a little more weight but nothing major so it's still good. Heard the heartbeat which was as always cool. Declan is getting more excited he talks about being excited that we are having a baby. It is major cuteness! Going on the 20th and praying they can tell what baby Cain is then, they are planning on checking so fingers crossed. Still nauseas but whats new, meds are still working! Can't think of much else at the moment we will update to let everyone know the sex as soon as we know.

First Post

So we are going to try this blog thing to keep everyone updated on info, pics, and Dr's appts. I am 14 weeks still taking Zofran for nausea but was the same way with Declan so not too big of an issue. Thank God for meds! Literally! I am using Falany and Hulse this time and so far I absolutely love them. They take their time to answer my questions and seem to genuinely be concerned with any of my concerns. We had our 1st trimester testing done and thanks for all the prayers everything is looking good. They are optional we just choose to do them. We have had a lot of ultrasounds and it has been neat. The ultrasound tech also did a 3D u/s that is the first one I have ever had and it was pretty cool. God has really blessed me with some peace of mind and great people. Next Dr.'s appt is on April Fools day...go figure :) I will post an update then if Brian doesn't post before then. Now to try and figure out how to add pictures to this thing :)
